Young Scientists
The largest science competition for students in Denmark
Celebrating students' scientific achievements to attract young people to careers in innovation, science, research and technology
What is Young Scientists?
Young Scientists invite students of all ages and from all over the country to work with a project that they are passionate about. The competition is for everyone – the dreamers with big theoretic ideas and the practitioners seeking scientific solutions to everyday problems.
During the process, the participants develop a thorough understanding of the scientific method, meet with like minded peers and receive critique from a professional jury. The best projects advance through regional competitions to the final national competition and fair.

International competition
Young Scientists has an international branch, where young scientists from abroad compete against each other.
Young Scientists work with international partners, and our competition has an international branch where we invite young scientists from other countries to compete. Our international participants are invited to the finals, which take place during three days in late April. The participants get to present their projects to a Danish jury and take part in a cultural and social programme.
You must have a partnership agreement in order to participate in the international competition.
